“A fence”

Wilhelmsburg, Germany, 2011

An intervention in the in-between. Blurring boundaries.
This action was about experimenting with our conception of limits.

A segment of the house‘s fence was shifted and the sidewalk was covered with a carpet made out of leaves. Extending the private domain into the public one or vice versa. What kind of space is that one now?
How important is a physicall demarcation for our perception of a boundary between private and public domains?
What is our understanding of limits? How and where are they?
In how far are we used to boundaries instead of borders?
